Grant Lecky is the Co-Founder of the Security Partners’ Forum (SPF), the first-of-its-kind agile network of the global security community, with the purpose of building security and resilience capacity globally. Initiated in 2011, the SPF facilitates and enables enhanced communication and collaborative opportunities amongst its networked associations, across state jurisdictions, all levels of government, bridges the public sector and private sector, and crosses the multitude of security and resilience domains and disciplines.
In addition to the SPF, Grant is a Fellow & Global Advisory Council Member of the Institute of Strategic Risk Management (ISRM), a member of the World Economic Forum’s Expert Network in Risk & Resilience, a member of the Australian Risk Policy Institute (ARPI), and is a security and resilience professional within the Government of Canada.
Grant has received numerous awards, honours and accolades related to his achievements in security & resilience including:
- Recipient of the Algonquin College “Alumni of Distinction Award” for 2019
- Cover Feature in the April/May 2019 edition of Sovereign Magazine
- Named to the Canadian Who’s Who for 2018 – chosen on merit and includes Canadians who have made significant and notable contributions to society;
Grant currently sits on various Editorial Boards including for the Canadian Who’s Who, the Journals of Business Continuity & Emergency Planning, and Cybersecurity (Henry Stuart publications), and the Journal of Strategic Risk Management (Institute of Strategic Risk Management (ISRM)).
Grant has professional certifications / designations in strategic security management, and business continuity, and his educational background includes a Masters of Science (M.Sc.,) Degree in Security and Risk Management (University of Leicester UK), a Bachelors Degree in Criminology & Criminal Justice (Carleton University), a diploma in Security Management from Algonquin College, and executive level certificates in Corporate Security Executive Leadership, Strategic Leadership, and Strategic Crisis Management.
